In between the 13th and the 16th century’s (medieval times 🏰), some books from monks, aristocracy, doctors… were leather-bound. This was to protect the book from any damage as well as to show off social status.

The fabric allowed to knot the book in the girdle of people costumes.

This is a hand made re-interpretation of the Girdle Book where the accessory can be used as a bag allowing you to show off your reading habit without revealing the content... 🧚‍♀️👸
